Yippee!!! A Free Book

I have here, in my cute little hand, . . . okay, not literally- that would make typing a little difficult.

Ahem, where was I? Oh! I happen to have an extra copy of Under a Lakota Moon by Deborah L. Weikel that is itching to find a new home. Since you poor saps actually read my blog it can belong to one of you!

Here's all you have to do:
Enter a comment on this blog post before midnight August 26th, 2009 telling me why you like to read romance novels and the title of the best one you've read in the last year.

That's it! Easy as pie and you could win a free book. I will have my children randomly select one name from those who commented and announce it here on the 27th.

Happy Commenting!

I LOVE to read; big books, small books, fun books, tall books. It honestly doesn’t matter what GENRE (albeit i prefer something relatively 'clean'), I just LOVE to read!! However,… with that said, an entertaining feel-good romance is one of the highlights of a stressful week for me. Whenever I ‘occasionally’ feel stretched out of proportion by the demands of my wonderful family, a romance can help remind me of the good times and provide an awesome escape from reality until I am ready to cope again. As far as the title of the best ‘one’ I’ve read in this past year, that’s a little harder to pinpoint. It took me a while to remember and wade through all that I had read. Early this year, I had a friend of mine, who was paring down her library, toss me the whole series of Love Comes Softly by Janette Oke. I had an awesome time devouring those books,… they were my treat to myself after a hard day; I limited myself to one a night. ;-)

I'd love to enter the competition, but I just got my copy from Amazon. But I'm sure you appreciate my comment anyway. :-)

Hmmmm, a good romance will leave me breathless a time or too, but not make me squirm. It will show characters that grow, becoming better because of one another and yet needing the other person to maintain that new level of self-discovery and satisfaction. it will make me want to stay up late and loan it to my friends. I'll keep my fingers crossed that this is such a book and that I'll get that chance to loan it :-)

I love to read and write romances because with all the depressing turmoil going on in the world, I want to escape into a a book with a happy ending at the end of the day!

My favorite romance I've read so far this year was actually a re-read of The Convenient Marriage, by Georgette Heyer.

Romance books take me away to a different time and place. A great way to leave the real world behind for awhile! The best romance book I have read within the last year is
The Earl's Intended Wife by Louise
Allen. Please add my name to your delightful book giveaway drawing.
Many thanks, Cindi

I love romance! I love to see how couples meet, get together and fall in love!

RIght now, I'm reading All the Stars in heaven by Michele Paige Holmes. It's really good and very hard to put down.

Is it really a story without a little romance? Okay, yeah, but romance makes a story more personal for we all want to be loved.

Do I count? :o)

Love the new look, Alison. Very edgy but pretty.

Who doesn't love a sweet romance? I love happy endings and a romance always provides one. You can't seriously expect me to pick my favorite--that is impossible! But...I really enjoyed Shannon Guymon's "Taking Chances." And Joyce DiPastena's "Illuminations of the Heart" was excellent as well.

Do I read books anymore?? I'm not sure, but if I did, I think of of the BEST romances ever is Jayne Eyre, which I think I read in this last year. Yep, has to be. I love romance books because it keeps me inspired to believe in true love, and that two people really can make a difference in the loves of each other. There is so much other garbage out there to tear you down or put hateful thoughts into your head that a clean sweet romance of triumph is really nice. Do I win?? Hee Hee. I think I am going to have to write down some of the other competitors, I mean Commentors suggestions.
